The area around Huojing Town of Qionglai City, located 100 kilometers away from Chengdu in the southwest, contains abundant natural gas resources. As early as the middle period of the Western Han Dynasty (206 B.C.-24 A.D.), people here already built the first natural gas well in the world, 1,800 years earlier than that of England which is the first one to use natural gas in western countries.

Guided by local people, we came to Henan Street first-the town's government locus. What was displayed before our eyes were ancient constructions covering an area of more than one thousand square meters. To our surprises, the houses, with a history of more than 100 years, had hardly experienced repairing, but up to now it was still difficult to find any rotten wood boards or posts, even the board color put on the roofs as tiles looked new.

What was closely adjacent to the government was the clear Linxi River, and the Hebei Street was just on the other side. What we could see was one row of Diaojiaolou (houses projecting over the land) partly suspended on posts standing well at random and facing the street.

At the end of Hebei Street, the "Tusi's office building " attracts our eyes. It was still in good repair. The luxury construction was a combination of western architecture style with the folk house style of western Sichuan, displaying a pattern of two floors.

It is said that the locus of "Top Well of the World" that is to provide the kindling of Olympic Torch is located within the Youzha Village of this town.
