Guo Ruyu, also named as Zhiyu, the alternative name as Zhiguang, a professional paiter of Sichuan Provincial Art Academy of Poetry, calligraphy and Painting, Director of Authoring Reasearch Room, State Second Grade Artist, Vice-Chairman of Traditional Chinese Painting Committee of Sichuan International Communnication Center of Economy and Culture. Born in 1941 at Chengdu and in 1961 he was graduated from Chengdu Arts School. He is good at Chinese Traditional painting, the flower and bird, the figure and the landscape, as well as the modern color and black ink painting, his works always have new conception and are strong on both sketch and imition, with signficant personality style and rich life flavour. His modern color and black ink painting had cocked Chinese painting, murual painting, folk arts and modern Western arts together and had gotten reputations in big exhibitions of US Seattle, Los Angels and Singapore, and be focused by the World of artists and collectors. The newspapers and periodicals home and abroad e. g. "Collecting World" and "Arts Circle" of Hong Kong, "Lecture" and "Arts Circle"of Taiwan, "West Chinese Paper" and "Seattle Post" US, "Chinese School Students" of Singapore etc. had published many articles to introduce his artistic success and his works.
