Chengdu Folks and Customs Park

Do you like travelling? Don't you dream to go traveling without paying? I accidentally found a gorgeous place for you to visit.

When my best friend Suuny and I finished the biology lesson, we decided to go somewhere to relax ourselves.

We went to the Chengdu Folks and Customs Park. There are lots of model bridges. They are made of wood or stone. The real ones have been rebuilt with concrete now. We walked through every bridge, but it didn't take us a lot of time. They are so small that an ant can crawl through within a few minutes.

The most interesting feature of the park is that a group of streets' names are chiselled in a wall. On the wall you can see what business a street used to have.

The street that my "home" was located in sold hearths. And the street that Sunny's home was located in ironwares. There are also general greetings on the walls, such as "Have you had your breakfast?" "How is your wife?" "I won't go with you. Walk slowly." "Let's go to play MaJiang someday." There are snack names on the wall too; Twice-cooked Port, Fish-flavoured shredded meat, Pearl meatballs, Lion's heads, Rabbit entwisted by silk thread and so on. The names are so attractive that I couldn't help drooling when I saw them. (I feel guilty to write down so many courses which might sharpen your appetite.)
The park is a paradise for you to feel the traditional culture in Chengdu. The agriculture, the pasture, the fount and especially the wall create a nostalgic atmosphere. Elderly people come to find back their childhood and younger children to have fun as well as to learn the custom.

There's another thing that I must tell you. It is that it's an open park; you needn't pay for your visit.
Don't you think it's worth visiting? You can finish going around Chengdu within one hour. It's a mini-Chengdu and also a gathering of custom.
