Yes, Hailee Steinfeld may be just 14, but the girl can rock the red carpet like few others her age (or older!) could. (And take it from us, because at her age, we thought purple velour and puppy dog sweaters were chic.) At the 2011 Academy Awards, Hailee stunned us by managing to come across as totally elegant while still being completely age-appropriate. A complicated updo became youthful with the addition of a simple white headband, and an application of mascara and pink lip gloss completed this young beauty's makeup routine.

We never thought we'd say this, but as gorgeous as Hilary Duff was as a blonde, we actually like her better as a brunette. Dark hair brings out her chocolate colored eyes, and a brick-hued lipstick, which would have been too intense for her former haircolor, fits in perfectly. (And let's be honest, blonde Hilary could never have rocked the feather hair extensions, right?!)
