In search of speciesScientists are racing to find new species on Earth's biological frontiers before they come under threat - and one of those frontiers lies amid the Foja Mountains in Indonesian New Guinea. Conservation International reports the discovery of a wide array of previously unknown species during a "rapid assessment" survey of the area in 2008. Among those who participated in the survey was Harry Sutrisno of the Indonesian Institute of Sciences, who is seen here trapping moths. An article about the species quest, with images by Tim Laman, appears in the June 2010 issue of National Geographic magazine.
