Golden night

Director Sidney Lumet, right, receives an honorary Oscar presented by frequent Lumet star Al Pacino during the 77th Academy Awards telecast in Los Angeles on Feb. 27, 2005. Lumet, the award-winning director of such acclaimed films as "Network," "Serpico," "Dog Day Afternoon" and "12 Angry Men," died on Saturday, April 9, 2011. He was 86.

Lumet directed the 1974 film version of Agatha Christie's thriller "Murder On The Orient Express," featuring Albert Finney, George Couloris, John Gielgud, Colin Blakely, Rachel Roberts and Wendy Hiller.
