Tiger hold

A female white Bengal tiger named Tigrulia is seen holding her new-born cub at a private zoo in Yalta, Ukraine. Tigrulia, presented to a local zoo in 2009 by then prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko, gave birth to four cubs on May 6.

Two of 11 common chuckwallas that hatched on March 23 at Brookfield Zoo in Brookfield, Illinois climb atop their mother on May 6. The Chicago Zoological Society, which manages the zoo, has had success in breeding this particular species of chuckwalla, which is found in the southwestern United States.
