Afghanistan's security forces fire at the building where attackers wearing suicide vests and carrying guns were firing from in Kabul on September 13. Taliban gunmen armed with suicide bombs and heavy weaponry launched coordinated attacks in Kabul, targeting NATO's headquarters, the US embassy and the Afghan Intelligence agency. Around three hours after the attack began, gunbattles were still oNGOing. The Afghan government confirmed the deaths of one policeman and two insurgents, and said that up to four militants were still resisting

The bodies, wrapped in white plastic bags, arrived in a police vehicle after being taken by a team of Afghan security forces from a hard-to-reach area three hours' walk from the main road linking the capital with the mountainous north.
